Everything about Singapore

Around 6 million people, skyscrapers, modernity, green in the city, the Garden City Singapore culture, temple, and delicious food. Orchard Road shopaholic enjoy shopping here, from luxury to essentials. English is your primary language here (shopping street with 20 shopping malls in one street)

Merlion is the unofficial mascot of Singapore (half-lion, half-mermaid). Singapore is a state and a city, with the classic, historic, financial district, and Chinatown with old-school eateries and temples.

Cash and Money Tips for the Trip

The Malaysian Ringgit (RM), cash, is widely used for small transactions, while card QR payments work fine in urban areas. Notify your bank before traveling to avoid card issues, if you aim to do cash withdrawals using foreign cards.

Carrying adequate cash is recommended to make the trip hassle-free. At hawker centers, sometimes you are asked to pay in cash. The Thai Baht (THB) also remains essential in street shopping and food stalls. Using prepaid cards and virtual cards like Wise for online transactions can be highly beneficial.

When using ATM cards, the transaction fee may apply as USD 5 to 10, depending on what your bank charges. It is 3% of the withdrawal amount charged by your home bank.

Trip Itinerary

1

We board a flight to Singapore. There are airlines, like Singapore, Nepal, Thai Lion Air, Batik Air Malaysia, and China Southern Airlines, that operate flights to Singapore; both direct and transit flights are available.

It takes 5 to 6 hours to reach Singapore, however, connecting flights may take longer than usual to land at Singapore Changi Airport. This is so far the best airport to spend the layover here with canopy bridges and no ticket is required to explore the glass floors, waterfall, and garden of this airport.

Arrival paperwork is online here. You need to submit your Singapore arrival card via the website or the MyICA mobile app. It's free, but if you need help, we are there.

More about immigration.

If your country is eligible, you can directly swipe at e-Gates, take a picture and fingerprint, and don’t have to see a passport agent The clearance process gets as quick as 30 minutes from landing. Ezlink card tap-in tap-off makes MRT so convenient here, and this is the fastest of all. If you dont have much of a suitcase, this one can be the one to consider.

By the evening, we walk in the neighborhood and explore the street, calling our day off with a good mood, best-tasting food, and rest in cozy hotels.

On the Singapore City Tour, we cannot miss out on the Merlion statue fountain by the cool seashore area. In the early morning, we take a 10-minute walk, reach the bus station, and take a ride to the Gardens by the Bay.

Lotus pool, DNA-structured pool, and Helix Bridge are also walks we will take here. The view is super pretty. Skip the queue with VIP tickets, get a refreshing Singapore sling drink (with or without alcohol), and take a guided tour in the flyer, experience like this awakens your inner children with curiosity about what is next.

For lunch, we try some pan-fried chicken dumplings, crispy corn, and Japanese cuisine. Mochi and matcha ice cream, Hainanese Chicken rice, chili crab, mantou (fried buns), laksa, and satay are some famous foods here.

We will try some shopping at malls throughout the afternoon, for which we can get tax refunds at the airport with amazing discounts too. ION Orchard is a popular shopping mall located in the heart of Singapore where we can go shopping.

Wow, OB BC Sky is the most fun to do at night. There are stall festivals and flower and tree decorations from capsules and flyers; we can explore the sunset 360-degree view. The vibe works like magic here; with the light and sound, the 7:45 p.m. show here is an absolute hit (with orange and blue light.)

Your heart skips a breath like Alice has her dreamland feeling. The light and sound show also gets on at 8.45 pm here. If you are lucky, you can see two shows in a day. Flowers, rangoli, kebabs, and Indian stalls—all these make it extra beautiful.

The day has come when we head toward Malaysia by 1-hour long flight. Expect around 5 hours until you finally check out and reach your hotel in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, through Singapore Airlines, AirAsia, and Malaysia Airlines.

Even there are 5 to 6 hours of bus rides and a high-speed ETS train to Kuala Lumpur. We decide on the best conventional travel mode, usually planes and train rides. Duty-free shopping and exploring the neighborhood of Kuala Lumpur with a food tour are the plans for the day today. We will spend the night checking in a hotel or Airbnb in Kuala Lumpur.

5

Malay, Indian, and Chinese modern skyscrapers are popular here in Kuala Lumpur; we will sightsee these early in the morning. Our first destination is the Batu Caves, just north of the city, tickled with limestones and a series of caves and temples.

Sitting at the top of the 272-step rainbow-colored staircase, the Temple Cave is a core highlight of the place. The entrance is decorated with a golden statue of Lord Murugan, Kartikeya, the God of War. It is free to visit but charges apply if you visit the side caves.

We admire the Skyline with rooftop bars and restaurants and will have delicious three-meal courses at fine places for the day. Our plan extends with exploring, Jalan Alor is a street of atmospheric stalls and restaurants for those looking for a food tour. Barbeque meat, noodles, fried rice, juices, and desserts, you can choose your favorite food here.

The KL Forest Eco Park Walk is the only remaining tropical rainforest within the city limits here in Malaysia with canopy walks. It is beautiful to see local wildlife, birds, and floral species. We continue to explore the KL Tower architectural mark of this place. We explore this too.

If time persists, we visit Petronas Twin Towers and stroll around Chinatown. There are other attractions like visiting Thean Hao Temple and shopping at the cultural bazaar (Pasar Seni), and sometimes around KLCC Park, which we schedule for the next day.

6

With the wonders of Kuala Lumpur, the days passed well. Today we intend to explore the Genting Premium Outlets and the Awana Skyway Cable Car, which are core attractions for tourists here in Malaysia.  We can find this place adjacent to Awana SkyCentral Station if we go by metro.

Genting Sky World Theme Park has nine theme zones; here we can have thrilling rides at night at the Midnight Mayhem. We will also explore the Ice Age zone and Rio zone between 10 am and 6 p.m.; we will have full-day fun at these places. There are many family-friendly rides here.

Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park (adventurous rides here) and walking in the scenery outside, Talking Garden can make the day joyful. After enjoying the rides at Skytropolis, we will head toward the food court for burgers, lobster, and Malaysian street food. Shaved Ice and Mochi Ice Cream are some of the popular desserts we will try.

7

KL has the perfect mix of modernity, history, value for money, connectivity, and nature views too. But today we will leave it for the next time and transfer to Bangkok. We have options here and choose the feasible one.

A new train tour with coaches operates directly to Bangkok from Kuala Lumpur. We will board the KTM Electric Train Service (ETS) at KL Sentral to Bangkok, which takes around 6 hours. The day will be packing and moving to a new destination, with new expectations of what is ahead, and last-moment souvenir shopping.

8

Bangkok is where we spent last night. Today we woke up to this City of Angels, the City of Immortals, and the City of Royals. We will explore the city and get to know more about the 2000-year-old largest Chinese community in Bangkok.

Bangkok, the New York of Asia, as visitors name it, is a place where we explore many food, culture, rising buildings, and iconic landmarks. With its major urban center, cultural, and commercial hub. city of contrasts, where ancient temples and modern skyscrapers coexist in harmony.

Located along the Chao Phraya River, the day will be more cultural and sightseeing.  We arrange a tour of the flower market, Indian market, and Wat Pho (the temple of the reclining Buddha).

There is a Buddha statue, 46 meters long and 12 meters high, and covered with gold leaf. Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) has this stunning Grand Palace, which served as the royal residence.

We continue Platinum Mall shopping, Baiyoke Sky sightseeing, and more walking on the Pratu Nam market. Learn some Thai phrases to greet, shop, and navigate like locals, with the help of a tour guide, obviously. This is how we eventually call the day off in Bangkok.

9

Our Pattaya excursion starts with a trip to Coral Island, just a short boat ride from the mainland. We explore this island in no rush and have a good time. In the afternoon, we head for the launch at a local restaurant to try some Thai cuisine and popular dining options.

After our lunch, we visit the Sanctuary of Truth, a magnificent wooden complex with temples and a palace.  If time persists, we take a late afternoon walk at the Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden and Pattaya Floating Market.

Our evening is lit up for the beach activities in the evening and the cabaret performance at the beach. We explore the local night market for shopping and street food shopping.
