Trip Itinerary

01

Allow our representative to handle your immigration tasks once you touch down. Let the breeze calm you as he drives you to your hotel. A cold shower after a long flight just hits differently.

Enjoy authentic Nepali Thakali dish of dal-bhaat, vegetable curry, meat, pickles and salad at the hotel. Do not forget to ask for extra ghee to make your meal tastier. After the fulfilling meal, you might want to take a nap. So, do as you please.

You can also roam around the hotel and interact with the staff. When the jet lag has gone, step out of your hotel and explore some nearby areas of the city. You will notice lots of temples and busy streets. A fine dinner at the hotel after a long flight might be very satisfying.

02

Wake up to the ringing temple bells and birds chirping. For breakfast, you must try some Nepali items like hot gwarmari, sel, jeri-swari, halwa etc. You can find them in any local shops or alleys in the early morning.

Your tour to Kathmandu today will include a lot of history, culture and religion. Let’s kick off the day by first taking the blessings of Pashupatinath Temple. The iconic temple premises house more than 518 carefully crafted mini-temples, showing the grand architectural intelligence of our ancestors. You’ll also notice many sages, with white ashes rubbed all over their body, hair dreadlocked and smoking weed.

After that, it is time to move to our next destination which is the iconic Kathmandu Durbar Square. There is also a museum which once used to be the palace of the Malla and Shah dynasties. A visit to the museum will tell a lot about the history of Nepal. The interiors and exteriors of the Durbar Square are something to marvel at.

For lunch, do give a try to Newari Khaja set which features chiura(beaten rice), chicken or buff items, pickles, bara, chatamari, etc. After a long trip, rest at your hotel.

Let’s spend the evening at the Swayambhunath Temple. A giant white stupa stands to greet you as you move up the stairs. From the top, get a clear view of Kathmandu and you can also spot some other famous spots like Dharahara. Protect your bags and phones from monkeys up there.

03

New morning, another destination. Now that you have discovered a lot about Kathmandu, it is time to get close to nature. Just an hour-ride from this bustling city, you will reach Nagarkot, a place to escape the chattering of people and vehicles.

This short ride will take you through some tiny villages and keep you entertained with the views of Kathmandu Valley and surrounding mountains. Many don’t believe this but the tiny hill station also offers a glimpse of Mt. Everest on a clear day.

You can spend the day getting relaxed with spa treatments at local resorts. Renting a bicycle and exploring the villages sounds like a fun idea. Take your camera and click mesmerizing photos of the hills and the local landscapes. Nagarkot’s sunset is something tourists often gush about so try experiencing it yourself.

04

This morning, we will catch a bus from Nagarkot to Chitwan and ride along the Prithvi Highway. Your journey will flow through the Mahabharat range, giving stunning Himalayas and deep valley sights. Manakamana Temple and Bhaktapur are some famous places are in the way so you may take some time to visit these places.

After nearly 8 hours, you will reach Chitwan but it all depends on the weather and road conditions as well. Transitioning from Nagarkot to Chitwan will make an extreme change in the weather. While Nagarkot has cool to mild temperatures all year long, Chitwan is one of the hottest cities in Nepal. Take a rest to get off the dreary ride mood.

Spend the night in the hotel and wait for what the next day will unfold.

05

You have seen wild animals in the zoo but what about them living their best life in the jungle; wild and free? Get that opportunity at the Chitwan National Park and go on a safari to witness the wildlife in their natural habitat.

You can choose to do the tour on a jeep or an elephant. Taking a jeep would be more convenient and a way to prevent animal torture.

If luck is in your favour, you might get glimpses of the royal Bengal tiger. You may often spot a one-horned rhino in the way. Don’t do anything to torture or scare the animals.

Catch giant elephants grazing or playing with the herd. Under the guidance of a tour guide, you can also take jungle walks where you can spot numerous species of birds, some so unique that you might never have seen or heard of.

Water activities are always fun, especially in a hot place like Chitwan. Beat the heat by canoeing in the Rapti River. Elephant baths are something not to miss out on.

06

Let’s add more memories to the list. After an unforgettable time at the Chitwan National Park, a rather cultural and religious trip to Lumbini begins.

Just a couple of hours ride will take you to the birthplace of lord Buddha. A sense of calmness and peace welcomes you as you step into the city. There are so many interesting places to explore but a fulfilling meal comes first.

The trip starts with a visit to Lumbini’s Sacred Garden where the exact spot where Buddha was born is still present. A giant pillar featuring the inscription gives proof of Buddha’s birth here. A sacred pond and a lamp that has been burning forever will also draw your attention.

There will be many monks praying and meditating in the garden. Don’t let this opportunity go to waste. Take a few minutes and meditate on the grounds where Lord Buddha took his first steps. Call it a day with a dinner at the hotel.

07

You can only imagine what your next trip from Lumbini to Pokhara is going to be like. This bus will take us through some rural villages and lush green fields that will accompany you throughout the ride. A clear day will give you a glimpse of mountains far away.

The mild and breezy atmosphere will let you know that you are in Pokhara. After some rest and a meal of your choice, take your favorite drink and chill by the side of Phewa Lake. Enjoy the city’s nightlife in the happening spots. Or, you can simply get your beauty sleep at the hotel.

08

Mornings are important as we can not miss the sunrise from Sarangkot Hill. You will be in awe as the dull snowy mountains slowly start bathing in the golden light of the sun.

After a drive, we will reach Gupteshwor Cave, a holy temple that is deep inside a cave. A local guide will tell you interesting legends about the mythology of the cave temple. Take a flashlight with you as the inside of the cave can be dark and narrow.

Towards the end of the cave, you will notice a holy temple and a little further, you will hear a loud gush of water flowing, which is a pretty daunting sight.

Just across the road, we will visit Devi’s Fall which is a waterfall that disappears into a mysterious tunnel.

When the morning turns into daylight, we will rent a boat and row on the Phewa Lake. The sounds of the gushing water and the sight of the majestic mountains far away will accompany you throughout the ride. In the middle of the lake, on a small island, there is Barahi Temple. You can spend some time admiring the beauty and row back.

We will take a short ride to the Peace Pagoda on a hill. The ride will lead you through houses, farmland, and some forests. As you move closer, the Annapurna Range looks like a painting in the sky. And the view of the city you get from the top of the hill when you reach the white stupa is something to marvel at.

09

What fun Pokhara truly was! You would not want to leave but that’s a wrap and we have a bus to catch. We’ll take a bus early in the morning and drive back to Kathmandu. By afternoon, you will be in the city. You have the whole afternoon and evening to shop some Nepalese gifts for your loved ones back home. Freshen up and have some lunch at your preferred place.

As the evening breeze starts, you can stroll through Thamel where you can purchase a lot of hand-made items to decorate your home with. Enjoy the nightlife of Thamel or grab a drink at a pub where you can have a fun conversation with many people.

FAQ's

While many people deny to believe that, the answer is Yes. That said, you only glimpse the world’s tallest peak under suitable weather conditions. If the skies are clear and you are at an ideal spot like the viewpoint, getting a vision of Everest is very likely.

If you don’t care about the heat and want maximum chances of seeing the animals during the safari, hot dry seasons between April and May would be the best. If you’re seeking a milder climate and don’t care much about the animal sightings, October to March is your time. Avoid the rainy season as heavy rain can make the roads difficult and animal visibility is extremely rare.

Kathmandu’s weather remains mild throughout the year. The summers are not scorching and the winters are not that cold. So, it is perfect for travelers most of the time.
