Trip Itinerary

5:00 AM

You might get goosebumps just thinking that today will take you to the place you have always dreamt of. The thought of getting to the base of Everest is alone enough to make your heart dance with joy.

Each moment is important in today’s journey. That starts with you getting a wake-up call from us at 5 AM. You have some time for refreshment before making your way to the airport for starting your heli tour. It is always better to feed yourself well before travelling a long way.

To avoid trouble at the airport, keep your passport and necessary documents within easy reach. Your travel will take you through the coldest place in Nepal, so you know what types of clothes you require to bring along.

5:30 AM

Following the rise and shine moment, it is time that we pick you up from your hotel and brief you about the journey you’re about to embark on. Then, we will drive you to Tribhuwan International Airport, where your heli is waiting to fly you over the mountains.

Put on your warm clothes and take your essentials with you. As you sit in the vehicle, enjoy the calm morning of Kathmandu with just the sounds of birds chirping and temple bells ringing. While the roads are pretty empty in the morning, it is still recommended to leave for the airport a little early. There’s no point in taking risks when it comes to the traffic in Kathmandu.

6:00 AM

After arriving at TIA, the staff will lead you to your check-in counter, where all your security procedures will be carried out before the helicopter takes off. Your passport and documents will be thoroughly checked, and your booking confirmation will already have arrived beforehand.

Now that all the paperwork and security checks are done, you will be asked to proceed to your assigned boarding gate, from where you will get a glimpse of your helicopter. You’ll be greeted by the helicopter pilot first. Afterward, s/he will give you some necessary briefings and emergency procedures before taking off.

If everything is set, you may take your seat, and the moment you all have been waiting for is about to begin. Your dream of witnessing the beauty of Everest will come true in a couple of hours. As you go higher, the first thing that will catch your breath is the morning view which drapes the whole surrounding area in its golden light. The bustling valley slowly transitions to lush green forests and then snowy mountains and painting-like landscapes. Each moment surprises you with its charm.

Expect to see Langtang Himal, Manaslu, Gaurishankar, and Annapurna Range on your way to Lukla.

7:15 AM

Your touchdown in Lukla will be very safe, as the pilots are extremely professional and know how to navigate through tough routes.

The short break is actually for the helicopter to unload and refuel to ensure that you have a smooth ride ahead. By this time, you will notice that the weather is extremely cold. You can throw on more clothes and explore the surroundings till your helicopter is ready.

7:30 AM

The helicopter takes to the skies yet again and makes its way to the Everest Base Camp, suddenly bringing a drastic change in the landscape. You will enjoy the sparkle of the Dudh-Koshi River dancing through the valley. The milky waters will make you think if it's actually water flowing down there. Adding depth to your journey is the blissful sight of terraced fields, rugged monasteries, and isolated Sherpa villages.

While you’re in awe of all the amazing sights, the pilot descends to the base camp in the midst of majestic mountains. It is now time to touch the base of the world’s highest peak. You’ll be at a height of 5,364 meters, so acclimatizing is crucial. You can do so by taking deeper breaths and resting for some time.

8:00 AM

Congratulations! You’re on the highest point of the Everest Base Camp, Kalapatthar, at an astonishing height of 5,545 meters.

This spot gives you amazing scenery of Everest, the Khumbu Glacier, and other peaks.

If you have brought some snacks along, try munching on them and drinking water. After a few minutes, take smaller steps till you know you can walk properly. You will also notice many colorful tents there, symbolizing a strong human spirit.

Walk around and interact with guides and trekkers. Most importantly, take some time to soak in the beauty of this region. Create better memories by clicking pictures with your group. Trust me, the photos that you click from there will outshine any other photos in the world because the visuals look like god trying to paint a picture in the sky.

8:15 AM

Now that the views from Kalapatthar have won you over, it is time that you board your heli for some more scenic flights. The ride now veers towards Syanboche village, which offers an arty view of the Everest region.

The half-hour ride will keep on bringing more surprises, making you wonder about the vast secrets the mountains hide within. You will probably pinch yourself to realize that you’re not dreaming. Your destination will be Hotel Everest View, one of the hotels made in the highest altitudes. Candlelight dinners are fine, but have you wondered what a breakfast with a view of Everest feels like?

8:45 AM

You check into the Hotel Everest View and instantly think how people created this hotel at such a height and that too in one of the isolated places of Nepal. This place is where man-made and natural luxuries meet.
You’ll be treated to a delicious breakfast with an unbelievable view of the Himalayas. The sip of the hot tea that you take here hits differently. Take as many pictures as you can as this is a moment that you might not get again. And that is the ending point of our Everest Base Camp tour. It is time to head back to Lukla before flying to Kathmandu.

9:15 AM

As in, sit in your heli, all warm and cozy, and take a look back at the views of the Everest region. It is sure to make you emotional, as this place connects instantly with the travelers.

As the heli slowly flies back, you will get a golden view of the entire mountain range if the weather is clear and the sun is out. The mountains, valleys, gorges, and glaciers that have been your companion all along are waving goodbye to you. Click more photos from above if you want.

9:30 AM

You have once again arrived at the world’s one of the most dangerous airports. It is quite thrilling, as the routes are scary, but the well-experienced pilots will take care of it for you. Without stopping anywhere in between, the heli will straight take off for Kathmandu.

As you descend slowly, enjoy the diverse beauty, from the highest mountain ranges to lush green hills and valleys. The weather gets warmer, and it might give your body a small climatic shock as well. Give your body time to get back to its normal phase normally.

10:10 AM

And with that, your dream of exploring the top of the world has successfully been fulfilled. In less than 40 minutes, the helicopter will take you back to the Kathmandu airport. The sudden transition of the weather might make your body a little feverish. But the memories and the unbelievable feeling of witnessing the beauty of the Himalayas will take that away.

Once back home, do not forget to show pictures to your family and friends. That will probably encourage them to take a heli tour to the Everest.
